Amended 2 July 2009 - Everton Fun Day cancelled and Biggleswade AC now appear to have abandoned ideas to hold separate Everton Race therefore this event is removed from the Junior Championship calendar
The Junior Championship races for 2009 have been agreed. The full programme for the Juniors is :
Sun 1 Mar BRJ Frostbite Sun 29 Mar Sandy 3k Sun 3 May Titchmarsh 3k Sun 10 May Eye 3k Sat 11 Jul Everton 3 FR (Cancelled by Biggleswade AC) Sun 19 Jul St Ives 3k
Juniors will also need to have posted times from three time trial distances at 400, 800 & 1,000mtrs repeated at various training sessions on some Thursdays.
The next Social Run is on Wed 15 July. Slightly different this time as it will be "Not Kenny's Relay". This year we will hold it in Riverside Park, opposite the Rowing Cub, then return to the Rowing Club where we will open the bar. Arrangements have been made with Dominos Pizza for us to place orders before we leave the Rowing Club to run and the order will be delivered to the Rowing Club for our return at approx 8:30pm.

This season's Summer Social Runs have got off to a good start with the first at Spaldwick, thanks to Dr. David and the Furbies, followed two weeks later with Paul Ridley organising one from The Horseshoe at Offord Darcy. Mick & Barbara then arranged a run from the Three Horseshoes at Abbots Ripton. This was followed up with a longer run of 7.5 / 8.3 miles from the Green Man at Leighton Bromswold. Again a jolly evening with good weather and wasn't the "all you can eat" very tasty. John & Ann Storey arranged a woodland run from The Duncombe Arms at Waresley in the evening sunshine. Running on the tracks beside and in the woodland of Waresley and Gransden woods proved extremely pleasant. (There is talk of doing this or a similar route in early May next year as the bluebells are something to behold.)
On the 29 July Helen, Christine and Pete are the social run organisers and will announce the venue in due course.
12 August Liz and Ruth will surprise us again with one of their runs.
26 August is being arranged by Jo Owen & Dianne Prout and will be centred on the Brampton Mill (between Brampton and Huntingdon).
Helen is organising a trip to Peterborough Dogs on 10 July and the cost will be £10 per person. Please could people let her know if they are interested on 07971 217039 text or post message on board.
It's getting near to the start of the Cambs Road Race League for 2009. This is a series of eight races where runners enter as individuals but where there is an added bonus of also scoring for the club similar to the Frostbite (but even more informal scoring etc.). All you have to do is ensure you register as a Riverside Runner and the rest is taken care of (more info about scoring etc on "read full story page"). Doesn't matter if you don't get to all. M
